Cross Your Heart...
And Live to Lie
By: Izumi
His face appeared mottled with a cluster of various emotions from afar, though through closer inspection, you could see quite clearly that the man was on the borderline of emotionless chaos. Seeming both happy and sad at the same instant could only result from a hand full of things, psychological issues making up the majority, and drugs taking up the the final extent. In this case one could tell, it had been none other than drugs, that or the man was just abnormal. For the sake of saving time, let me confide in you this, it had been the best narcotics a guy could get his hands on.
Here's the kicker though, he didn't take these capsules willingly, or to be precise, knowingly. All Ryu knew was that he felt pretty damn good and most of all that he had been awarded a great honor. A session with one of the great rumored Telics. His entire being pulsed with excitement and an unusual sleepiness. Even with the ever growing urge to rest his arms beneath his head and simply allow his eyes to drift downward, something pushed him onward.
Darting back and forth violently, his violet orbs struggled to take in the surroundings quickly enough to even attempt an ounce of comprehension. The flowers and greenery about the base of the structure had long ago wilted, which almost caused a curiosity to arise, though when his brilliant hues glanced over the engraved markings of the tower it had been all he could do to keep himself from shouting out in awe. Each crevice and every hand crafted bulge grabbed and pulled for his attention, like a long forgotten story from his childhood that just wouldn't fade. Nothing even made sense; the twisted shapes looked like something a kid would make up, too odd to begin to describe. Though even with their oddness, it almost took some strength to pull his eyes to the next reality.
Letting the images and clustered emotions fade, he staggered onward towards the beckoning voices of the armed gentlemen before him. Like hungry scavengers the men encircled and surrounded Ryu on his little journey; this familiar formation just might have been th cause for their renowned nickname "Eagles". Human's so feared by their own kind that they almost appeared exiled and shunned from the eyes of their counterparts. A pity...considering their purpose, to protect.
Closing in upon the base of the building a soft hum echoed throughout Ryu's ears, a flutter or possibly even a whisper he questioned. The thought had little time to simmer for before everyone's eyes, appendages busted forth from the surface of the tower, slowly fusing together to form a spiraled like blueprint about the circled facility. Now to be precise, when I describe this scene as a "stair like blueprint" I mean exactly that, stair-like, not symmetrically aligned. Neither stone nor steel could be found within those steps, not even iron or glass produced an illuminated glow as those steps did. Possibly an electrical trick or even an illusion Ryu guessed nonchalantly as they gathered height above the ground.
Eventually, Minutes had passed, and Ryu's excitement began to dissipate as his bodies fatigue grew evermore apparent.
"Come on Boy," one of the chunk guards mouthed back towards him.
No sound came, no sound came from anywhere for a small moment. The Eagles all raised their weapons and stared around alert. Like the harsh gleam upon the barrel, just before the gunpowder ignites its counterpart, the silence had been their only warning. Sparring little more than a second, a strong light erupted consuming all within site, like a starving swarm it obliterated all in site.
That's all I have for now
